ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TO COUNTRY

Deadly Minds acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their cultures; and to Elders both past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples engaging with Deadly Minds today.

About

What IS Deadly Minds

Culturally-relevant, trauma informed Yoga and Mindfulness

Deadly Minds is the world’s first Indigenous Youth Yoga Teacher Training, launched in 2022 by Health Promotion Charity Yogazeit. Deadly Minds emerged through learning and collaboration via extensive outreach projects working with Indigenous children and young people, Elders, remote schools and vital community stakeholders from various language groups across Western Australia.

The driven desire from remote Community Members to learn the teaching skills of culturally-relevant, trauma informed Yoga and Mindfulness sparked the light for Deadly Minds. This uniquely developed program has been guided, informed and co-developed specifically with and for Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia.

Certified Indigenous Youth Yoga Teacher training

Upon completion of the Deadly Minds Certified Indigenous Youth Yoga Teacher training, individuals are empowered with the skills to introduce mindfulness and movement to their mob, one breath at a time.
