Ideally you are working with Indigenous young people either at a school, in community or in a health setting. You have a willingness to learn.

You have a desire to advocate for the wellbeing and rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth within your community. You don’t need any previous experience in teaching yoga and mindfulness, however – a passion for making a difference and a basic understanding of yoga and mindfulness, will help you progress through the course.

I’m not Indigenous, can I enrol in the course?

Yes, our course. Deadly Minds is open to anyone who wants to learn more about Yoga and Mindfulness and who’s keen to bring skills of breathing, movement and relaxation to Indigenous peoples around Australia.

Just like attending a Yoga Class in a studio we’ll ask you to listen to your body and mind at all times. Our training is designed to be accessible and we welcome all bodies and minds.

Do I need to be a Yoga Teacher to participate in this training?

No! The training is open to anyone with a passion for Health and Well-being for young people. We have dedicated time especially for teaching and learning about the different yoga shapes and breathing exercises and the unique benefits, so you’re fully empowered to teach these skills safely and mindfully to young Indigenous people.
